Bugaldie is a small farming community 25kms North West of Coonabarabran. It has been heavily impacted by the ongoing drought. A central hub of this community is the Bugaldie Memorial Hall.

The 'Bugaldie Bounce Back' project initiative is aimed at providing a series of yoga/meditation and fitness classes over a few months, along with the provision of the necessary equipment within the hub of this farming community. The classes are aimed to be appropriate for High school aged and adult participants.

Cardio fitness and strength classes are being facilitated by Nicole Hunter and will run each Thursday from 9am - 10am. Parents are welcome to bring their preschool aged children for these classes where an area and basket of toys, little exercise balls and books will keep them occupied whilst they watch Mum & Dad workout.

Kira Alexander will be facilitating the yoga and meditation classes each Wednesday evening from 6pm. As we are aiming to really relax and unwind it is preferred that little ones are not present so mum and/or dad can really unwind.

We see this as a valuable 'seed' project to encourage the continuation of exercise, socialising, relaxation and wellbeing as a group and a community.
2357 Partnerships Inc. are managing the grant and the project which was a successful Community Wellbeing and Drought Support Grant funded by Western NSW Primary Health network.

Both activities commenced in May and run for 10 sessions. Residents from the Bugaldie community can attend both or either of these sessions.
