Contemporary Possum Skin Cloak Community Workshop

Thursday 18th April 10am - 2pm

This community aboriginal and non aboriginal workshop will involve community members (young and elders). The idea of the event is to come together to design and create a possum skin cloak that reflects our area and then can be enjoyed for many purposes within our communities around the Warrumbungle area.

WilderQuest Junior ranger: Which way north?

Warrumbungle National Park

 

Tuesday 16 April and Tuesday 23 April 2019, 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Can you navigate your way through the Australian bush? Can you tell north from south, east from west? On this bush survival adventure in Warrumbungle National Park, you'll discover how to keep your bearings while wandering in the Australian bush. WilderQuest junior rangers will master basic survival skills, orientation, map reading and how to use a compass. Then test your new orienteering skills by navigating your way back to base.

Chicken Racing - Good Friday

From 5.30pm

Get ready for the only chicken racing in the Warrumbungle Shire!

'The Sport of Wings!'

Have a flutter on the girls before the race!

Will it be Yolko Ono, Eggatha Christie or Princess Layer who wins the race?

The girls are ready to race. Should be lots of fun. Bring the kids along, they can enjoy the chicken race and a play in the Playground area.

Event followed by Friday Night Raffles and dinner cooked by Andrew and his fabulous Team. Their menu includes fish and chips, chicken nuggets, steak sandwiches, rissoles, sausages as well fantastic salads and potato bake.

The Chinese Restaurant will also be ready to take your order for a delicious Chinese meal.
